What is a load cell?

The load cell is an electronic component (transducer) that measures weight force.

The force applied to the weight sensor is read by measuring a mechanical deformation, expressed in tenths of a millimeter, that the load cell converts into an electric signal in mV/V, proportional to the deformation.
