Requirement
Malvestio needed to monitor, manage, and process the weighing data from the load cells installed on Hero, the first bed with a weighing system entirely designed to meet the needs of pediatric intensive care.
The goal is to ensure the highest level of accuracy, safety and comfort for young patients, while providing optimal support for healthcare professionals through the use of advanced technologies.
For Malvestio, it is essential to measure and record a precise and reliable body weight value, enabling healthcare professionals to make case-specific assessment.
In addition, it is important to understand how the patient's weight is distributed across each load cell in order to verify the patient's presence in the bed and ensure prompt intervention by a medical staff.
Our solution
For the Hero bed, we used:
How does it work?
The 4 bending beam load cells installed at the four corners of the Hero bed are connected to the CLM8 junction box located beneath the bed frame.
At the same time, the Instrument Manager management software is installed on a PC and used by Malvestio's specialized technicians to configure and calibrate the CLM8.

Through automatic and detailed diagnostics of each individual load cell, the CLM8 detects any anomalies and enables technicians to respond promptly.
Load distribution analysis and data archiving permit monitoring and saving the data recorded by the load cells.
